She later pursued higher education at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, where she graduated with a degree in Sociology. During her university years, she participated in several pageants, including Miss Eastern Campus, which she won. She initially aspired to become a lawyer. Nwokoye began her professional acting career in 2004 with her debut film, *Nna Men*. Since her entry, she has appeared in over a hundred Nigerian films, quickly establishing herself as a prolific and bankable actress.
