Ramsey Nouah Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr. (born December 19, 1970) is a veteran Nigerian actor, director, and filmmaker. He is widely regarded as one of the most prominent and influential figures in Nigerian cinema, affectionately known as Nollywood, particularly noted for his romantic leading roles in the 1990s and 2000s, which earned him the moniker "Lover Boy." Early Life and Education Ramsey Nouah was born in Lagos, Nigeria, to a Lebanese father and a Yoruba mother from Owo, Ondo State. He grew up primarily in the Surulere area of Lagos. For his elementary education, he attended Atara Primary School and later Community Grammar School. He continued his studies at the University of Lagos, where he obtained a diploma in Mass Communications. Career Progression and Notable Works Nouah's career in the Nigerian entertainment industry began in 1993 when he starred as Jeff Kanu in the popular Nigerian television soap opera *Fortunes*. Following the success of the soap opera, he transitioned into Nollywood films. His early career saw him feature prominently in many home video productions during Nollywood's golden era. By the mid-2000s, Nouah became a fixture in Nigeria’s transitioning film landscape.
