Rosy Meurer

Rosaline Ufuoma Meurer (born 15 February 1992), widely known as Rosy Meurer, is a Gambian-born Nigerian actress and producer recognized for her roles in the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood. She is also known for her work as a model and for her entrepreneurial ventures. Early Life and Education Rosaline Meurer was born in The Gambia to a Dutch father and a Nigerian mother from Delta State. She is the first of three children. Meurer grew up and had her early education in The Gambia. She holds a diploma in business management and has also studied photography. Growing up, Meurer harbored aspirations of becoming an air hostess or a pilot due to her interest in aircraft and flying. Career Progression and Notable Works Meurer began her career as a model in The Gambia before relocating to Nigeria in 2009. She was encouraged to try acting in Nigeria by the Nigerian actor and politician, Desmond Elliot, who discovered her in The Gambia. Meurer’s acting career took off, and she is particularly known for her role as Kaylah in the 2014 TV series, *Oasis*. Her career gained further prominence with major film roles, including portraying Valerie in Eniola Badmus's 2018 film *Karma* and playing Kemi Alesinloye in Ayo Makun's hit movie *Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons* (2018) and its sequel, *Merry Men 2* (2019). Other notable films she has featured in include *The Incredible Father* (2017), *Your Dream Girl* (2019), and *Circle of Sinners* (2020). Beyond acting, Meurer has also ventured into production, producing her first movie, *The Therapist's Therapy*. Current Status As of her current status, Rosy Meurer is married to businessman Olakunle Churchill (m. 2019) and they have two children together. She remains active in the Nigerian entertainment industry as an actress and producer.
