Stella Damasus is an award-winning Nigerian actress, singer, and film producer, recognized as a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood. **Early Life and Education** Stella Damasus was born on April 24, 1978, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Although born in Benin City, her origin is often cited as Asaba, Delta State. She grew up in Benin City, where she completed most of her primary education. Damasus pursued her higher education at the University of Lagos, where she earned a degree in Theatre Arts. **Career Progression and Notable Works** Damasus began her professional film career in 1995 with a minor role in the movie *Rattlesnake*. Her major debut came in 1999 when she starred in *Face of a Liar*, for which she earned a nomination for Best Actress at the African Movie Academy Awards. She subsequently gained widespread recognition for her work throughout the 2000s and has since starred in over 70 movies, including notable titles such as *Submission* (2002), *Real Love* (2003), *Widow* (2005), *Bent Arrows* (2010), and *Two Brides and a Baby* (2011).
