Sule Lamido: Nigerian Politician and Former Governor Sule Lamido (born August 30, 1948) is a Nigerian politician and former civil servant who is best known for serving as the second Executive Governor of Jigawa State from 2007 to 2015. Early Life and Education Born in Bamaina, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido began his early education at the Birnin Kudu Primary School. He continued his studies at the Government College, Kano. After his secondary education, Lamido pursued further administrative training, completing courses in Political Science and Administration, which laid the foundation for his extensive public service career. Career Progression Lamido’s political career began in the early 1980s. He was a member of the House of Representatives during the Second Republic. His influence grew significantly during the transition to the Fourth Republic. In 1999, he was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs under the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo, serving until 2003.
