Michelle Alozie Michelle Chinwendu Alozie (born April 28, 1997) is a Nigerian-American professional footballer who plays as a forward and defender. She is recognized internationally for her career in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and her contributions to the Nigerian women's national team, the Super Falcons. Early Life and Education Michelle Alozie was born on April 28, 1997, to Chioma and Godwin Alozie. She grew up in Apple Valley, California, where she attended Granite Hills High School. Alozie demonstrated athletic talent early in her life. She pursued her undergraduate education at Yale University, graduating in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. Alozie's ambition extends beyond the pitch, as her life goal is to become a cardiologist. She later attended the University of Tennessee as a graduate student. Collegiate Career and Major Achievements Alozie had a notable collegiate soccer career. As a sophomore at Yale in 2016, she was a Second Team All-New England selection, leading the team in goals and points before an injury halted her season. Her junior year (2017) at Yale was marked by significant achievements, including being named the Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Year, a unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection, and a United Coaches All-Region second-team selection. She tied for third in the Ivy League with nine goals and finished with 23 points. She later played at the University of Tennessee.
